Rheumatology Certification Program for Primary Care Providers
Overview
There has been a significant advancement in the field of rheumatology over the last two decades in terms of new and highly effective treatments for various diseases including rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. This development along with the growing demand for musculoskeletal and rheumatology care has created a need for additional clinical skills used by general practitioners.
The Rheumatology Certification Program for Primary Care is specifically aimed at medical practitioners in general primary care including MDs, PAs, NPs, and NDs. This program has two essential blocks of online as well as on-site clinic components.
Online Course Content
The online components of the certification program are designed to provide an understanding and working knowledge of the structure, function as well as dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system and rheumatologic disorders, diagnostic evaluation methods, and treatment modalities.
Clinic
Clinical training will be delivered at Rural Outreach Arthritis clinic located one hour from Washington DC Suburbs in Martinsburg, WV. We have one of the busiest rheumatology clinics in the mid-Atlantic region where you can see a variety of musculoskeletal and rheumatologic disorders in a short span of time.The time spent in our on-site clinical training depends on your past training and experience. Your time here is flexible and can be continuous or can be intermittent.

Registration & Fees
Our programs are all tuition-free. There are no fees for registration or tuition before, during, and after completion of these programs.
Certification
We do deliver a certificate at the end of this program. There is no degree given at the end of your program. Our program is based on what you learn online as well as the level of experience that you attain during your time in our clinic. There will be proctored test for each program.
