Instructing Patients Regarding Their Medications and Diet
This duty entails the following:
- Discussing the patients’ medications with knowledge and understanding of the prescription drugs’ uses and effects
- Demonstration to the patient of how to take medication orally, topically, or intravenously
- Providing diet suggestions based on understanding of nutrition
- Answering any questions the patients may have regarding their prescriptions or their diet
- Conducting one’s self in a polite and professional manner at all times with patients
