Performing Electrocardiography

This duty entails the following:

  • Understanding the basics of normal cardiac function and the symptoms of abnormal cardiac functions
  • Understanding the relationship of ECG markings and normal/abnormal functioning
  • Ensuring the equipment is functioning properly
  • Dealing gently and communicating sensitively with the patients as the ECG is performed
  • Conducting one’s self in a polite and professional manner at all times with patients
