Want to become a Partner Clinic?
To qualify as a Partner Clinic, a clinic must be located in:
- A non-urbanized area such as the following:
- Primary Care Geographic Health Professional Shortage Area
- Primary Care Population-Group
- Medically Underserved Area
- Government-certified shortage area
Partner Clinics must:
- Have at least one physician on site on a regular basis
- Directly furnish routine diagnostic and laboratory services
- Have arrangements with one or more hospitals to furnish medically necessary services that are not available at the clinic
- Have available drugs and biologicals necessary for the treatment of emergencies
- Furnish all of the following laboratory tests/services on site:
- Chemical examination of urine by stick or tablet method or both
- Hemoglobin or hematocrit
- Blood sugar
- Examination of stool specimens for occult blood
- Pregnancy tests
- Primary culturing for transmittal to a certified laboratory
- Have an annual program evaluation
- Post their days and hours of operation
- Not be a rehabilitation agency or a facility that is primarily for the treatment of mental disease
- Meet other applicable local requirements.
